This presentation discusses the structure and build to marathon training for both stand alone marathon PB preparation and building for the marathon during an Ironman event. The session addresses questions around the optimum and minimum build period in marathon preparation, when to go long, how long and includes tips, traps and recommendations. Considerations in training approaches for PB efforts and how to integrate marathon training with the demands within overall ironman training.
